Terms of use
Last updated: 28 June 2026
By using Dolomites Planner you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site.
1. What this site is — and isn't
Dolomites Planner is a free planning aid for hut-to-hut treks in the Italian Dolomites. We are not a tour operator, mountain guide, rescue service, or booking agent.
2. Mountain risk — this matters
Hiking and via ferrata in the Dolomites carry a serious risk of injury or death from falls, rockfall, lightning, hypothermia, navigation errors, and rapidly changing weather.
You are solely responsible for your fitness, skill, gear, maps, insurance, current conditions, and turning back when needed. We provide information as-is and accept no liability, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for loss, injury, or damage arising from use of the site.
3. Data accuracy
Opening dates, prices, contacts, trail conditions, and routing all change. We make a good-faith effort to keep data current but make no guarantees. Verify directly with each rifugio and check local weather and rescue sources before every day.
4. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
- One account per person. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, copy, or redistribute rifugi, route, or guide data in bulk without permission.
- Do not attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Do not submit false reports or deliberately pollute saved-route data.
- Do not use the site for any unlawful purpose.
6. Content and intellectual property
Guides, design, and code on this site belong to Dolomites Planner. Map data and tiles are governed by OpenStreetMap and the respective tile providers' licences. Factual data such as names, coordinates, and altitudes are facts; our written descriptions are not free to copy.
7. Third-party links
We link to hut booking pages, weather services, and other resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or terms.
8. Changes to the service and these terms
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Material changes to these terms will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use after that counts as acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of Latvia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
